5 stars In 1975 (or 1976?), the owner of the local prog-record shop (Platent), informed me that he had organized a concert in the local theatre, which was quite unusual, as, at that time, virtually no pop concerts at all were organized in Deventer, and this guy apparently hired the local theatre? I never heard of Finch, and the record was sold out of course (small shop, normally only 1-2 copies in stock), but a true concert in Deventer!, and wondering: Is it possible to enjoy a concert, sitting in pluche seats?

It surely was. Even stronger, this 15 year old boy was happy to sit, being fully overwhelmed, especially by the stunning bass playing of Peter Vink. He could definitely compete with my favorite at that time: Chris Squire.

This is the main reason to write this review: In the reviews I read, the other guys seem to get all attention (Cleem Determeijer was even mentioned as bandleader!). Sorry guys (&girls?) the main driving force was Peter. (Together with Beer), he was not only the architect of the band, but live the absolute driving force, and absolute virtuous bass player. Listen to "live 76", which was released a couple of years ago, and you know what I mean.

In 79 I attended another concert, in which I heard maybe (probably) the best bass-solo ever.

Without intending to downsize the skills of the other guys: please join me in expressing: Hail to Peter ;-), one of the two best bass players I know (next to Chris).

It is a pity that this band had to live their lives in Holland..., and never hit the major halls.

(why is Focus so overestimated?)
