PURPLE PASSAGES

This is a rare but very interesting early American release. It is a compilation that includes a selection of fairly representative (if not the best) songs from first three studio albums recorded by the original Mark I line-up. Additionally, there is a single-only release of "Emeretta". Very important release that sheds some light on the often neglected period of the band. If you don't like the classic heavy metal sound of DP, but would like to have a quick look at their psychedelic roots, "Purple Passages" might be the choice for you.
