![]() Obviously this was and still is an important album in the history of modern music, so it certainly gets credit for that. As for the music, it's nicely textured and atmospheric and the playing and production are masterful, but I've got a couple of gripes. On the Run overstays its welcome by a couple of minutes, and although the gospel-esque singing on Time and The Great Gig in the Sky works beautifully, I think it's a bit unwelcome during Brain Damage and Eclipse. Maybe I'll grow to cherish it someday, but for now Dark Side of the Moon strikes me as just being a good album. It's certainly worth listening to, and I'd say that anyone who hasn't heard it ought to just blindly buy it.
