4 stars Astonishing effort from a former trully black metal band! ( Please excuse my poor english) I'm not an authentic metalhead and I'm not fond of black at all. But one more time a black metal band delivers a slendid dark ambient album, a blend of pure evil metal and insane atmospheric parts, for an incredible effect. It starts with a few notes of piano but immediately turns out into an industrial hell. The whole album leaves an weird taste in mouth, and I first thought it was totaly uninteresting, so I gave up after a few listenings. But the curse was there, and off and on that awfull sound came back to my mind so I finally played it again. This time it sounded totally different, and I soon get addicted to this masterpiece. I can't say it's a prog album, but IMO it tends to prog because of its musical construction, with long and complex compositions. For fans of black metal but also for curious listeners searching for schizophrenic/insane music. Definitively unique and inovative, however it may easily disgust. I give it a four stars, only because of its inaccessibility. But indeed it deserves 4.5 stars.
