The Ace Face
4 stars An amazing album, classic rock of the 70s, but not quite prog, therefor it loses a star. I think if Pete had continued with the Lifehouse idea and the rest of the band had accepted the idea, this album would have been one of the best in history. After all, the whole Album Who's Next is merely scattered recordings of a concept album, and it is one of the greatest rock and roll albums of all time. imagine the rest of the concept in here for another double album. Anyways, the songs are great, with getting in tune, going mobile, Bargain, Behind Blue eyes, and Wont get fooled again being personal favorites. Baba O'Reiley is classic, but not especially amazing, nor are song is over, Love Ain't for Keeping or My Wife, although My Wife has some great Horn work from John Entwistle, a Rarity. I wont say too much else here, as everyone knows this album pretty much by heart. A classic, and a good predecessor to Quadrophenia, the band's masterpiece.
