INFINITY

On Infinity, Townsend struggles to control his technique of orchestration using mass digital layering. Tracks like Unity lack cohesion, lack any real sense of dynamic thrust or vector, and the whole experience is somewhat like an Aural equivalent of drowning. That being said, this is Townsend, so when Infinity is good, it explodes. In Bad Devil, Devin controls the various layers, so that the whole thing keeps its aural integrity despite being a MASSIVE mix, and Truth actully benefits from becoming one big haze of noise. Absolutely no-one sounds quite like this except Townsend, so if you are looking for a new experience in music, this is the place to come.
