3 stars I fell in love with Tommy when I was a child. Then, I saw the Ken Russell movie (I love it, really, even if it's too 'overloaded', ah ah), and put again an ear or two (not much) on the album a few years later. I found Tommy not to be that great. Great songs (We're Not Gonna Take It !, Pinball Wizard, Christmas, Amazing Journey, Welcome), but some fillers (the shortest tracks, including, of course, Miracle Cure), and a too weird story. The Who's most acclamed rock-opera is not as great as people often said about it, even if it has some good moments, and even if it's recommended as well. Good, not essential.
