I absolutely love this album! The 80's sound suits the songs quite well and the overall feeling is rather upbeat for a Hammill album at least. Songwriting is strong and makes for a coherent album, unlike some of the man's solo work. Accessible melodies and catchy choruses are no exception on Sitting Targets and in my opinion Hammill has always known how to create a catchy melody without sacrificing creativity.
