3 stars I purchased Stormwatch shortly after its release. I have not listened to it for years. I thought it a good listen. North Sea Oil was cool, relevant. I recall Warm Sporran to be one of my favorite Tull instrumentals. Its moaning whistle to me represented something upbeat, hopeful. Recently, while listening to "Johnny Seoighi" Track 12 Celtic Christmas II (Windham Hill) I could not help but recall Warm Sporran even though the mood of the whistles may be hopeful in one and hopeless in the other. Thirty years ago I saw Tull as my favorite rock'n' roll band. Now, at age 45, I am more curious about the Celtic influence in Jethro Tull's music. I think Stormwatch subtly presents something more Celtic than has been discussed.
