4 stars This is a two CD set. The 2nd CD is unreleased material mainly from the BROADSWORD and ROCK ISLAND sessions. Although this material is decent, it is certainly not essential.

However, the material from the 1st CD is a must have. It is prime Tull material written in between the BRICK and PASSION albums. What gets me are the saxophone/flute jam sections that are also present on PASSION and the war march sections similar to the ones on BRICK. The final three songs of "Scenario," "Audition," and "No Rehearsal" are absolute classics, especially from the end of "No Rehearsal" where Ian sings the "scenery is colorful, but the paint is so damn thin". Great lyrics, which Ian sings with pleading conviction.

All the songs are excellent, and other highlights include "Look at the Animals," and "Law of the Bungle Part I & II".The only thing that keeps this from a 5 star rating is its unfinished feel. Like Yes' FRAGILE, it seems choppy to me, and it lacks continuity. But, it deserves 4 stars nonetheless.
