5 stars Let's put it this way , simple and accurate at the same time ,and this is my own opinion , To whom it may concern . If there was no Tangerine Dream ( Franke - Baumann - Shulze - Froese ) , in addition to Rick Wakeman , Didier Marouani , Giorgio Moroder , Vangelis & Mike Oldfield . Simply , there was no Yanni , Kitaro , Jean - Michel Jarre , ( in a place ) . Pet Shop Boys , Duran Duran , Soft Cell & others ( in another place ) NOT to Mention , the best soundtrack recordings between 1981 up till 2008 . So , Tangerine Dream , the best German instrumental band since 1969 , brought to our world a new dimension of music , never been available before , with such beauty & variations . And , to be more accurate in my review , All TD releases since 1970 deserves from you the same treatment . But , Apparently , ratings depends on many factors in here . So , the main issue of my idea was to review Stratosfear . First , Stratosfear , Phaedra , Cyclone , Exit & Thief , deserves a 5 stars ( i'm not gonna review all of them for the time ) These releases belongs to the Virgin golden age ( 1974 - 1981 ) With many diversions & line - up changes . in addition to Tyranny of Beauty & Force Majeure ( superb albums ) , It's not easy at all to select a perfect work for TD , it's in fact a hard task . but still , what was really impressing by TD , is that you can always tell , in live concerts , studio albums , or soundtrack recordings , it's a TD achievement . Surely , there's some works , deserves less credit . but , in general , Thanks TD for all these excellent works ,Stratosfear , Phaedra & Cyclone are simply , few from the best we had in experimental music so far . 4.5 stars to all tracks , except 5 Stars for Invisible Limits , the best in experimental progressive rock ever .............. Tracks Toni ......
