4 stars 4 stars for this album because certainly there are some rare pearls on this one such as crime of the century, school or bloody well right but I find certain pieces such as Yew tree Everyone Was Listening or else asylum rather basic, without real interest.

School:ATTENTION MASTERPIECE! The piece begins with an intro of davies and inseparable sound harmonica,on an air which right away makes think have an old far-west American,of whom is going to draw its weapon in first, then like voice like davies and this melody which draws away right away has listening, then these 4 words come which make junction between the 1st and the second left the piece which are going to make intercede suspense, then shouting of children and this rhythmics in the guitar, the melody becomes halting but goes up in rhythm progressively. The low contributes to make take up suspense and the battery supports a more and more well brought up rhythm,am then this splendid solo of davies in the piano which makes me shudder has each time I hear it :-) it's in these moments there that I tell myself that this man of harbour a virtuoso :-o,to finish the singing of Hudgson and these some words, which put an end in beauty to the piece.Sensational. To finish,I find this piece enough resembling toanother brick in the wall part.2 of pink floyd taken out in 1979, two are centered on the topic of the school and on two one hear there of children shouting...

Bloody Well right:The essential and most interesting of this piece is summed up over the beginning,an intro in the simply splendid piano and very gently and always this workmanship, this art for the beauty of notes which davies forwards us throughout this solo, that flatters you who flatters your ears properly, really great, really :-)

Hide in your shell:Piece rather flat, listening certainly remains, but alone the refrain with the saxophone goes out of the common place, the rest is only words...To note the participation of Scott Gorham also on Choruses has the end of the song.

Asylum:Song without real interest...

Dreamer:How to speak about Supertramp steamer without naming dreamer? No doubt top, everybody knows this piece!Whether it is have the TV or it was taken back for pubs or on the radio, this piece is very known. It do not have his place too much on this album, drastically different from others,he resembles pieces more than they can find on breakfast in americawith other more orientated titles pop-rock.Hudgson who sings for this piece, with his very high-pitched voice they can expect only has a perky, cheerful title, and it is definitely case.An importunate refrain for a title which is it just as much!

Rudy:A nice piece, regulated well that they can also classify in the category progressive rock, always this intro which is typically of supertramp steamer. Then the piece gets carried away everything has blow with the guitar of hudgson which makes its appearance, then the saxophone of Haliwell and later violins. The noise of step in a railway station comes then, sound effects were often used in pieces in this period.

It Everyone Was Listening:Based he too on a rhythmics in the rather simple piano,a piece which does not innovate a lot,as hide in your shell, the baby left in the saxophone is rather well but it is definitely everything.

Crime of the Century:Key Title of the album, very deep, this piece is the proggressif piece by excellence of supertramp steamer. It begins with voice desesperate of Davies which shouts its misfortune,to make free place then in the party in the guitar of hudgson, then one do not hear more davies only which knocks the keys of his keyboard, frantically,in spaces regular, and the bass which becomes very heavy, which makes not much has not much take up suspense, the melody which seems to mourn all tears of the world, then comes the sax. of halliwell and violins and always this constant despair and that seems to grow to arrive has its peak has the end of the piece. For me,this title is so sumptuous that he would have easily been able to be played in an orchestra, such diversity and potency of this room make a leader of work.
