5 stars Its seriously frightening how much I can relate to this album, especially Rudy, but who can't really? So, my dad used to play mix tapes he made, and he had School, Bloody Well Right, Dreamer, you know, all the hits on it. So before I heard the album in its entirety I had already heard the hits. My dad's record collection isn't huge, but he has this album. I was looking through them one day, years back, and decided to take Crime of the Century for a full spin. Hide in Your Shell and Asylum, back to back, hearing them for the first time was, well, amazing, not much else I can say. I was awestruck after hearing Rudy. It's a word for word story of so many us average, somewhat troubled youth trying to find our way. It's epic. Each song is amazing and fits perfectly into the concept. This album is easily worthy of five stars, and the peak of Supertramp's work.
