3 stars It depends on which angle you take in respect to this DVD. If you are a die hard fan of Transatlantic or Neal Morse or Spock's Beard, you might be curious abut the making of "Bridge Across Forever" album. It's normal thing because you really want to know how the album was made. But if you take an angle from perfect video on how the band made the album, you might expect something high quality standard. In this case, you might be disappointed with this offering because the film shooting was taken from Neal's camcoder - it's not something professionally shot. From this angle, you might think that this DVD is just a way from the band to get money from fans.

For me personally, I take different angle. Yes, in a way I love the music of Transatlantic. But I'm not really keen to know how the music was built. However, I was curious about how the music (in general, not the album per se) was recorded from its raw material into final product. From this perspective, I find this documentary part (approximately 2 hours) is worth enjoying. I like the way Neal Morse put his ideas through keyboard and record it then gave to other members to fill in their parts. I especially enjoy the way Neal made all the basic material at his home studio and involving his wife as well. Another plus point is the additional live performance in America.

Overall, it's really up to you on which angle you take.
