3 stars Japan is the home of many interesting artists in the field of music, and U-Ni is yet another one of those.

The four tunes on this album are all of a rather minimalistic manner, where repetition is a key element. All the tunes consist of a set number of rhythmical and melodic pieces which performs and repeats set themes and patterns, with one dominating element adding subtle changes to the theme being repeated.

Distorted guitar riff or distorted guitar solos with a distinct early 70's sound is a part of all the tunes here, conveyed in a manner which indicates that krautrock is a dominating influence to the output of this artist.

Fans of repetitive, hypnotic psychedelic rock of the early 70's in general and krautrock in particular may find this release worthwhile checking out.
