Another release in the Colossus projects here, and another intriguing release with ups and downs.

The piano-dominated intro and outro mood pieces are interesting, especially the opening composition with the swirling synths added in.

Dark Sessions contribution is a dark, haunting piece filled with eerie and creepy segments, with haunting keyboard layers and dark, sinister guitar chords at times fighting over which of the instruments to sound most like something dragged out of a horror movie.

Leviathan contributes with a theatrical, symphonic piece where atmospheric segments and majestic instrumental parts complement the melodramatic vocals in a nice way; and with some nifty organ playing to be enjoyed as well.

Floating State's contribution is more of a let down though, with an improvised sounding exploration filled with keyboards, driving bass lines and what sounds like horns. Interesting setup but too many disharmonic segments in this one for me to really keep up the interest.

Fans of 70's symphonic rock in general and Italian symphonic rock in particular should clearly give this CD a spin.
