5 stars One Hour by the Concrete Lake is my favourite Pain of Salvation album.

The concept is based on topics, that are very important in our lives: war, pollution of the environment... They are both expressed on a very high artistic level. The heavy riffs are mixed with soft acoustic parts, but the typical bitterness of PoS is being presented during the whole album. In addition Daniel Gildenl÷w' dominance makes itself felt, which is very good in my opinion. The contrast of the feelings is traceable all along in his vocals. We can also hear good musical performance from other musicians of course.

This landmark of progressive metal deserves five stars.
