3 stars Well, I have always regarded Camel'spleasant, careful execution, fantastic performance, with the delightfull respect that they deserve. But although this is a wonderful album, the lack of energy/fire/inspritation seems to lessen the overall Camelishness of the music.

Having said that, the music (really all the great early guys are wonderful writers) is written well, and executed with authority. The recording is quite good, and although the overall effect of the songs are a bit (as mentioned earlier) unexciting, the album does grow on you.

It just seems that, unlike many of Andy Latimer's works, the pastoral sections are a bit too pastoral, and the exciting parts are not up to what is his normal level of passion. There's the word I'm looking for, there seems no real passion, just extremely good performance/execution.

Now, if you're like me, you must have this album, as it's really a good overall project, and the respect due to Mr. Latimer is an overwhelming reason to continue supporting his dream - music of HIS choice, not someone else's. Long live Mr. Andrew Latimer and his talents.
