2 stars To add my two cents worth.....This is certainly not the best Camel album ever to see the light of day, but to me it has a weird kind of appeal to it. I can't help sitting there, giggling while the barnyard animals fill the room, hehehehe. On a more serious note : Remembering (oh so well) the simple fact that 1981 was quite a strange year, prog-wise speaking, and looking at other releases by other bands in that year (such as Yes, Genesis, to name a few) "Breathless"wasn't the only "so-so" album to come out that year. Yet, I agree with most of what's said here, Sleeper, Echoes....superb Camel classics, which wouldn't be available to us if it wasn't for this little oddity. All that's left for me to say is : Just give it another go, and compare it with other albums from that period, then the puzzle piece falls in place I think.
