I CAN SEE YOUR HOUSE FROM HERE

This Camel album is the perfect example how a record could divide the opinions in listeners. Ok: taste and sensibility is personal and should not be criticized. But anyway put your ears on something else of Camel if you like this group ! They played a lot of great music in the past as in their first four albums, that made I Can See Your House From Here a very, very poor stuff. All the songs in this album are very commercial, with the exception of a true gem: Ice. This is really as the Camel music was and should be ! Great guitar work by Latimer, beautiful keys solo, incredibly suggestion in atmoshere and feeling. Ice is the only reason why this record take my 1 star rating. The rest is only rubbish.... And i say this beacuse i know that if they, want Camel are able to compose and play great music indeed. And not only in the '70s golden era. Listen to Rajaz or Nod and the wink or Harbour of tears and you will find enormous difference (in better) in comparison to I Can See Your House From Here. The suggestion to listen to the first works of this storical prog group is obviously for younger people that only now are approaching this genre.....for old prog-fan is natural to consider the '70s as the only and true storical moment of Camel to listen to in the same way as for others great prog super-bands.
