This live album features the dream line-up of Genesis with Gabriel and Hackett on-board however omitting the most essential compositions from 1973 onwards and also ignoring the long Genesis hymn "Supper's ready". I think it was unwise timing and maybe other constraints that made a selection of early Genesis, less sophisticated and rawer sound by Genesis. I personally don't have a special connection to the pre-1973 Genesis output but acknowledge its importance in progressive rock. All members of the time provide a solid performance including Gabriel.

If you're looking for a representative live album by Genesis, reach out to "Seconds out" that still features Hackett, although unfortunately in a more restrained position but with much better track selection and sophistication.
