PIGS ON THE WING / SHEEP

What we get here is basically the same thing that was given on the full-lenght album "Animals", but with a twist that turns it undoubtedly sweeter: "Pigs on the Wing" not only unifies both parts of the song as they appeared on that album, but also features in addition a guitar solo, which was left in the very capable hands of Mr. Snowy White. It really sounds very different from David Gilmour's own style, but, you know, that's the idea.

That is to count on the "gain" side. As for the "loss", it's unnecessary to say that "Sheep" was cut to less than a half of its original timing, and that is a real shame.

A nice piece if you hunt singles, although this version of "Pigs on the Wing" appears on the Quadraphonic version of "Animals" anyway
