THE UNAUTHORISED BREAKFAST ITEM

The name of the album is promising but the contents is disappointing. The music has not gotten any muscles from the best Caravan era and melodies don't achieve the heights of the songs from the 70's. The only piece that can somewhat keep pace with average songs from the 70's is "Head above the clouds", which has a irresistible positive Canterbury feeling but very safely taken arrangements with a far cry from potential solos.

"Nowhere to hide" has a decent synth solo towards the end. The only other distinctive track is "Linders field" with again key-based instrument convincing the listener - this time it's the piano, it's a mellow instrumental track.
