5 stars This was (pun intended) one of my very introductions into progressive rock, JT being my dad's favorite musical act. I have enjoyed it from the first time I listened to it, even when I wasn't a prog fan and would listen to less complex pop compositions. Therefore, I regard TAAB as an efficient tool to make people appreciate prog: it's catchy from its beginning, both on the lyrical side and on the instrumental one; I love the witty poem Ian Anderson came up with, I find that each musical section works, both as a single composition and as a part of the whole song/album, and I think the idea of responding to the interpretation of Aqualung as a concept album by writing an album with a single track on it is genuinely genius. On TAAB all musicians play at their best, and each of them has his moments to shine: the vocal interpretation is theatrical, the synergy of guitar & bass couple is always perfect, the keyboard parts give a tasty contribution to the soundscape; the beauty of the flute and drums is simply ineffable, as overall is the whole album, in my opinion.
