4 stars I love me some My Dying Bride and I'm glad that they're included on this website. Bands like My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, early Anathema, Draconian, October Tide, early Katatonia, and Type O Negative all play dark, gloomy, and drab music but I eat it up and it makes me happy instead of sad. And that's what I did with this album.

The Ghost of Orion is the latest studio album by My Dying Bride, and their 14th studio album overall. Lot's of bands don't even make it past one studio album but My Dying Bride has 14. The Ghost of Orion is more of their great gothic death-doom; with longer songs, other instruments such as the keyboard and violin, the growl off Aaron Stainthorpe, and of course the gloomy, heavy riffs. I also really like the album cover because it reflects on the music. Album art that reflects on what the music sounds like and what the music's themes are is always great.

My Dying Bride is a great band. They have lot's of good aspects about their heavy but beautiful music. The melancholic sound of this album and the rest of their discography is what I enjoy about bands like this.
