MOONMADNESS

Great album, you got some short songs like Aristillius and lengthier numbers like Lunar Sea. The vocals are mixed low and have a decent amount of FX, rendering them very much a background component of the music. None of the songs are bad, nice average quality on Moonmadness, most though I'd say cap out at 4/5. The only song I'd say is excellent is the fantastic Chord a change with beautiful guitar lines, vocalisations and all around strong work.Overall, for me this is a great album that could have been bolder. Ultimately I find Moonmadness to inoffensive to often to truly soar. Tracks like Lunar Sea with its rhythmic repetition and the forgettable Air Born could've used something extra to make them pop beyond being a jazz jam and ballad. Canterbury Sound Score 4/5.
