5 stars I really would like to avoid using the 5th star too much when rating albums, but it is quite hard to avoid it this time - this album is that good, simple as that. This album blew me away as soon as the drums are rising out of the mix in the first track, ensuring that this album was something rather different from the previous 2 albums (who both were really good though). To me it was obvious that the sound was being cleaned up and the accoustic drums made me think of Camels 70:s productions, something that truly moved me. While the album as a whole can't be described as back to the roots, it is a very strong release. It is one of those albums where there is an overall feel to the music that goes through each and every song on the album. One might argue about the concept factor not being that obvious when it comes to the individual compositions, but if you listen to the music I think you have to avoid it on purpose to miss it. In my opinion, Camel are the true masters at incorporating different influences to fit their own concepts, and this time they do it beutifully! The subtile but obvious loans from eastern music really gives a mystic touch to this album, something that complements Camels legendary melancholic medlodies extremely well. Oh well, just buy this record!
