5 stars As my first review, I'll write about my favourite álbum of all time: Camel - Mirage. As a guide for my reviews, I give a note to each song from 1 to 10 and then I puntualize on 6 characteristics that will define the final note of the album: Consistency, Internal cohesion, Originality, Aura, Level regularity and Personal apreciation. So let's begin!

Freefall: A powerfull track that starts the album with great energy. The middle of the song hits one of the many pinnacles this album has. A perfect "battle" between keyboards and guitar. The only weakness: the vocals. 9/10

Supertwister: After the frenetic start of the album comes this outstanding flute and hammond directed song. It translates you directly to a desert in the night. It's position and duration after Freefall is just what the album needs. 10/10

Nimrodel/The Procession/ The White Rider: the album arrives the middle of it with this song. This is one of the best songs of history of prog rock. If supertwister transalted you to the desert, this song introduces to the deepths of it in a Journey that you'll never forget. All the elements of the composition and the execution of each instrument (including vocals) are perfect. 10/10

Earthrise: the fourth song is a powerfull instrumental wich shows the virtuosity of each musician, but always keeping the sense of desertic aura, wich is essential. The abrupt final is the only weak point here. It is the only defect of the album internal cohesion. 9/10

Lady fantasy: the final song. The definitive pinnacle. The epic. Lady fantasy is the best camel song, and one of the top 10 songs in history of prog. The energy this song emanates is overwelling. A guitar directed song. It reminds me as "the moment of the true". The final act of the song is perfection. That Latimer solo at the beginning of the end is something i've never heard. The sound he gets from the guitar it's unique. A perfect end for a perfect album.

Consistency: 5/5 Internal cohesion: 4/5 Originality: 5/5 Aura: 5/5 Level Regularity: 5/5 Personal apreciation: 5/5

Final Score: 4,83/5 > FIVE STARS
