5 stars Ah, The Wall. Probably my all time favourite album. Just everything about this album screams perfection. It is a concept album centered around a rock star named Pink, who began feeing very isolated, alone and depressed and wanted to blame it on whoever he could. After pointing the finger at everyone he knew, he ends up realizing that it was his fault all along. The concept is delivered perfectly, with the deep pain of the main character coming across clear as day through the albums dark, depressing sound. This album also includes numerous classic rock anthems, including "Comfortably Numb", "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2", "Hey You", and "Mother". Some other good tracks include "Waiting For The Worms", "Young Lust" and the dramatic album closer "The Trial". In conclusion, I would recommend this album to everyone. Though Pink Floyd has been known for creating some very progressive, inaccessible pieces, this album has much less of a proggy sound and more of a mainstream rock sound, which makes it a great entry album for those who want to get into Pink Floyd or prog rock.
