BETTER BY FAR

Caravans best days are behind them so they can just smooth sail on all those fans they made with a run of bland albums. There's no real attempt at anything like the earlier Caravan, the album is generic easy listening stadium rock. That being said I think better by far is better then the albums that are to follow, perhaps because this wasn't terribly outdated and Pye Hastings voice is pretty nice.

Overall Better By Far isn't In The Land Of Grey And Pink but it's not the worst thing ever, rather for me it's somewhere in the middle, listenable yet not something to seek. Thus 3/5.
