3 stars Nothing spectacular of course, but rather easily likable album. Some reviewers put this one in a line with Crest and Rock Island. I don't think so. Those two are infected with dreadful Dire Straits sound, while here we have some sort of bluesy folk rock which is much more to my taste. The flute is quite vigorous sometimes, the accustic guitars are here to present some really pleasant melodies and arrangements. Ian's vocal somehow overcome his awful Knoplfer phase. The rocking part is not very hard but makes for a solid base for folk and blues ornaments. Easy listening Tull, but pleasant none the less. There is not much prog in it, so 2,5 star for PA, but 3 stars in JT discography which makes for 3 stars overall.
