2 stars This was for a long time the only official Black Sabbath live album from the Ozzy years. Neither the band or Ozzy ever liked this album and regarded it as a gross betrayal of them by their record label. In short; a bootleg. The sound is not good so they have a point. Black Sabbath and Ozzy later rectified this betrayal by overseing the release of the double album Past Lives in 2002. An album which is far better than Live At Last.

The sound on this album is pretty much bootleg quality. The artwork abysmal. The choice of songs is pretty bad. The omission of one of their best ever songs, Black Sabbath from this live album like this is simply unforgiveable. The rest of the songs are OK, with the exception of this nineteen minutes jazz-rock medley at the end of this album. It is pretty much ruined by the bad sound. Neither is jazz-rock a phrase I utter in the same breath as Black Sabbath. The rest of the songs are OK. But they are all ruined by the bad sound. But the band does a good job. But my conclusion is still to ignore this album and rather buy Past Lives. Live At Last is in all but it's name a betrayal of Black Sabbath and nothing more. It is probably the worst Black Sabbath live album out there and that says a lot.
