2 stars I never was a big Golden Earring fan. In late sixties/early seventies they built reputation as energetic live act, played with The Who and attacked States with hundreds of live shows. Psychedelic in very beginning, they soon became a stadium hard rocking band.

I like a few their albums, mostly Moontan ,having some progressive feeling. Later they recorded few big hits and continued playing mix of arena rock and pop -rock. This live album from 1984 is pure evidence.

The music is generally very simple , but very energetic. Recording sound is of pure quality, so mostly you can hear rock-n-roll dinosaur rocking ( and trying to be still a rock star). And he isn't.

Yes, songs are long, but mostly because of repetitive musicianship. Some solos sound dated, all music - very uninspired. Radar Love is here for sure, but again, it sounds more as played by tribute band.

I believe bad sound is one of reasons why all recording sounds so terrible. But the music itself isn't good enough just to save situation. I don't think I will ever listen this album again. Better avoid.
