3 stars This compilation of Queensryche is great for those who just want to dip in to their style of music and check them out. But in reality you are far better advised to grab "Operation Mindcrime" 1 and 2, "Empire" and "Tribe" for the best of Queensryche. The songs on the comp are perhaps all the singles and best material in a compacted form. Best tracks are Queen Of The Reich, The Lady Wore Black (from the EP), Warning (from The Warning), I Don't Believe In Love, Eyes Of A Stranger (from OM), Empire, Silent Lucidity (from Empire) and Sign Of The Times is a great track too.

Chasing Blue Sky and Someone Else? (With Full Band) are both bonus tracks and hold great interest. The lead work by DeGarmo and others on all the tracks is spectacular and Tate's vocals are powerful with an incredibly dynamic octave range. Queensryche have created some great material over the years and this compilation captures it admirably.

A nice slice of QR for the uninitiated.
