2 stars The rot had set in.

This album has been in my possession since it's release date. I have hidden it well though due to the hideous cover art work. The 1980s as a cultural vacuum is perfectly described in this gruesome picture. I don't want to have this album in my living room.

The music is not as bad as I thought it would be. Yes, it is as close as Saga comes to releasing a commercial pop/AOR album. Yes, there are far too many references to the likes of Simple Mind, Heart, Eurythmics, Simply Red and all those popular bands at that time. But the songs are not a total disaster.

.....Although it is not a good album either. The sound is pretty horrendous 1980s plastic fantastic. The songs are simplified commercial and pretty dire. There is a couple of good songs here like Don't Look Down and Angel. The rest of the album is best forgotten. This album is Saga on the cheap and not the best advertisement for this great band. This album has been returned back to the dungeons where I hide it due to the ghastly cover.
