4 stars 1. Minstrel in the Gallery for the prog intro; a beautiful approach to prog for a unique movement with a flute right in the middle, unprecedented; from the organ, a heavy riff before its time, a unique sound. 2. Cold Wind to Valhalla with its presentation, the acoustic arpeggio and the twirling flute, the voice of a ship's captain in a tavern, I hear the sound of boots; plus this festive side with the captivating voice and a beautiful guitar. 3. Black Satin Dancer for punchy rock with the combination of genres, we weren't yet talking about drawers to downgrade music in general; in short, prog metal before its time, a little nervous with the riff that would have classified them as hard rock, oh yes, it didn't exist yet, I repeat myself. Nevertheless, a new genre is emerging from symphony, one of the founding fathers of a metal genre in which I fully identify. 4. Requiem for the sensual ballad with vocal reverb and the instrumentation that lends itself perfectly to this nascent genre, rough but delicate. 5. One White Duck / 0^10 = Nothing at All with its arpeggio line for the song, a repeat of the previous one, more expressive vocals, almost a cappella phrasing following the acoustic notes in step; warm, folk above all.

6. Baker St. Muse arrives on the second side, for the epic title track; a mix of styles between pop à la 'Fantom of the Paradise' for the phrasing and its piano, the colorful rock tune integrating hard nuances with those of the classical flute; a sound that oozes the Charisma label for the adventure of the cat and Alice, a beautiful moment in four parts with a laudatory neo-classical drift right in the middle. A beautiful section that explores contemplation, solemn undertones, and a distinctive folk spirit, for long winter evenings recounting extraordinary sea adventures. Note that the flute knows how to be discreet to leave room for prog exploration; an example is this avant-garde finale that juggles the recognizable oriental air, the captivating vocals, the relaxing piano, the invigorated classical instruments, and the melody; an outro with the feet moving, prog definitely in its time. 7. Grace to end gracefully, yes I dare; fast, melting, just right to digest the epic piece before. KANSAS and JETHRO TULL as fathers of prog metal before their time, just a reality.
