3 stars After being impressed by one of their previous records "The visitor" I must say that I like to listen to "Pepper's Ghost" but it is not on the same level. The first song "Bedlam Fayre" starts with some background noise wich reminds me to Marillion's "Garden Party" but maybe it's the influance of Mick Pointer who will say? I like the last song (Opera Fanatica) with the opera singer on it. John Mitchel is doing a great job again on the second song smoke and mirrors, nice guitar riffs as we know from him. Sometimes I hear really big influences from bands like Marillion for example but who cares and maybe this is not a coinsidence! Great record and a pleasure to listen to but to be realistic I will give it a little less then 3,5 stars.
