Mystery
5 stars Pink Floyd is a band that just about anyone who knows anything about music is/was aware of. The band was one of, if not the biggest bands during the 70s and has sold millions of albums worldwide. This particular album, Wish You Were Here, has sold over 10 million copies. This album, while not as successful as Dark Side of the Moon, is often compared to its famed predecessor. With only five tracks, the album starts off with the ambient Shine On You Crazy Diamond Pt. 1, which features nine minutes of instrumental until finally the vocals come in. The music is very melodic and flows very well, creating melancholic and dreamy atmospheric. The songs that follow Shine On.. are fantastic as well, including Have a Cigar and Welcome to the Machine. There are no real low points on the album. While successful and highly heralded, I still prefer Animals to this, though this is a close second. The music on this album is really terrific
