5 stars Another masterpiece by this underrated brittish band, who combines classical music with rock-attitude like no other band. First released in 1977 on a (later to become) sub-label to EMI. As is the case with their debut "In the region of summer stars", EMI still holds the rights to the original vinyl recording, but refuses to make a deal with the band OR release the album! Because of this, The Enid had to re-work and re-record this album as well, in the early 80's to be able to release it on both vinyl and in -86, on CD (Mantella records). Re- released on the same label in -93 and was given it's final treatment in 2002 and released in it's current form, with the original cover (not the one on this page which is the Mantella- version cover) The main work on this wonderfull album is the epic track "Fand", which has a history on it's own, first recorded in the mid 70's, first released on the original vinyl album, re-recorded and re-worked several times, both in live and studio-versions, let's hope it has found it's final form on this latest and final release of this splended album.
