MAMMOTH

BEARDFISH is a Swedish Progressive Rock band leaded by the mastermind multi-instrumentist Rikard Sjöblom (GUNGFLY, BOOTCUT) and have a huge influence of 70's progressive rock and bands like THE FLOWER KINGS, YES, GENESIS and RUSH. I must say that these guys are doing something rarely seeing those days, they're bringing the very first progressive rock elements to 2000 era. All the features that create the identity of progressive rock are in their albums, and not only that, they make a good use of instruments such like accordion, flute, saxophone and many more. BEARDFISH, for sure, is a very underrated band, once they're just getting knowed outside of Sweden after the "Mammoth" release. By the way, "Mammoth" establish BEARDFISH as one of the finest Swedish Progressive Rock band from this decade. Great musicians, poetic lyrics, complex compositions and great instrumental.
