3 stars A sure improvement over the prior two albums, ROCK ISLAND and CATFISH RISING. This is by no means a return to the classic form of Jethro Tull, but it is a pretty good effort. There is an Eastern music influence here as well as a jazzy feeling to much of this. "Roots to Branches", "Rare and Precious Chain", and "Dangerous Veils" are really good. There are some weaker tunes here, but overall this is a solid effort and a welcome return to a better version of Jethro Tull. This is not AQUALUNG or even HEAVY HORSES, but at least it is not DOT.COM. 3 stars.
