2 stars Time Travel is a small improvement over the last few releases by Phrozenlight. Though this album is still largely ambient and uneventful, there are a few elements integrated into the soundscapes to keep the listener interested more successfully. Strewn throughout these soundscapes are the sounds of dripping caves, calls of marine life, occasional spacey sounds, but still these soundscapes are dominated by hollow non-textured drones. Though the music on this album is much more reasonably tolerable than the tracks on previous releases by Phrozenlight, the extra electronic elements present on this album aren't enough to make me too much more satisfied than before. However, the slight progression from the previous albums to Time Travel indicate a possible maturing of sound, which is something that I certainly hope is true, because Phrozenlight's good albums are definitely enjoyable.

This album would probably be most suitable for fans of Brian Eno's Music for Airports, looking for a slightly darker sound.
