MARBLES

This album is nothing short of terrible. Sleepy snoozy Hogarth sounds like he can't be bothered ( Yet Again ) and the songs themselves are boring and lifeless, Ocean Cloud being the only saving grace. This is a shame, as Marillion with Hogarth started out so promisingly with the outstanding "Seasons End" "Holidays In Eden" and "Brave" Since then Marillion have sounded puzzingly tired and devoid of ideas. I want to hear those Rothery solos in abundance again, I want to hear the drama and excitement of the earlier Hogarth works. To me, "Marbles" is yet another disappointing miss.
