4 stars Somewhere between Tangerine Dreams releases "Rockoon", "Turning of the TIdes" and others in the "new age" TD era (as I find fit to put it) and the CD's they released in the new millennium, TD found their pulsating rhythms and churning beats used to great effectiveness in the late 70's and throughout the 80's. In other words, Edgar Froese found his cajones.

The results are at least refreshing, if not outright spectacular.

This release finds Edgar and Co. spiraling in newer, bolder directions, and it seems they have tapped a new creative well-spring that could last them 10 more years to come. The songs are fresh, DYNAMIC (something lacking in the 90's releases, for the most part) and even out and out rocking.

"Fire on the Mountain" is possibly my favorite track. I can't help but bob my head to the beat as this one blasts out thru my Bose speakers. I'll be listening to this one (and many others of similar ilk I've stumbled onto) for a long time to come.

4 solid shining stars
