YULE RITUAL

This is a very good live album but it takes a few plays to get used to the very heavy bass recording. There is a good selection of songs on this album but I feel that the following tracks let it down a bit, "Flying Doctor", "Lighthouse"( Tim Blake who in my opinion does not seem the right person to be playing with Hawkwind) and "Hurry On Sundown". Why Hawkwind has to include the dreadful "Hurry On Sundown" all the time, I will never know! Two songs feature the lunatic rantings of Moorcock live from Texas, "Warrior On The Edge Of Time" and "Sonic Attack" and they work very well. Once you get used to the bass then this is a very fine album except for the three songs that I have already mentioned.
