2 stars "O Kansas Where Art Thou?". Along with their next album, the aptly titled DESPERATE MEASURES this is the scraping of the barrel bottom for the Kansas boys. Welcome to the pop world of AOR. This is where Kansas meets Toto and REO Speedwagon. Good bye Steve Walsh and hello to John Elefante. While John is not a bad singer, Steve Walsh IS the voice of Kansas and always will be. Not a terrible album, but if there is any prog here I can't find it. Add the worst cover of any Kansas album. Ugly. Best song. Maybe "Play the Game". I suppose. Maybe not as bad as the followup but on par with POWER. Or a little below since POWER had Steve. 2 stars. Maybe really 1.75
