Bridge Across Forever is the second album of "supergroup" Transatlantic. The effort is as good as in their first album, but the album is more chaotic and the production poorer. The album mood is pretty nice, nice theme juggling, and some great ideas. Technically, everything is great except polyphonics, specially on track 4... live version here is better.

Duel with the Devil : Great opening track with a lot of progressions, few week spots, but a good track in general. Although, keyboards need some originality, vocals are emotional and well interpreted, drumming is excellent all along the album.

Suite Charlotte Pike : Some great melodies on some spots, but i didn't like track in general, too relaxed, not enough precision... Happy themes all along, even some beatles style somewhere in the middle...

Bridge Across Forever : Morse and his piano only, well no.... his vocals aren't great on this one, and the song itself isn't very interesting musically although the lyrics are very nice...

Stranger in your Soul : THE album track. A mix of prog metal, pink floydish psych. rock, and symphonic. Production could've been way better, but the track conception itself is excellent, and earns this album its 3 stars... Not a real epic, but I say it could have been with a little more work... Live, the song is better interpreted. Original ideas, great progressions, and nice moods, and you never get bored, despite the 26 min length.

I'd say it's a great addition to any prog music "collection" (I hate that term...).
