4 stars Breathless was my very first Camel album, I got if because it was the only Camel album the CD store had in stock. I actually really liked it but when I discovered this site I soon found that many people did not. At that time this was the only camel album I owned and I then noticed that The Snow Goose, Mirage and Moonmadness were all highly rated albums, so I purchased The Snow Goose from over seas and I was blown away. All this time I regarded Breathless was being a five star masterpiece but when I compared it to The Snow Goose I suddenly thought Breathless was not all that good.

1. Breathless- Breathless is sort of a Pop/Prog song like the rest of this particular Camel album. I don't particularly like it either. (2.5/5) 2. Echoes- Echoes is the gem of Breathless, it is spectacular from start to finish with great guitar work and beautiful vocals sung by Any Latimer. An echo is a rival for Rhaydar Goes to Town from The Snow Goose, truly a spectacular song. (5/5) 3. Wing and a Prayer- well I can honestly say that I like this song, it is very pop but I like it, it is very catchy and easy to get into. (4./5) 4. Down at the Farm- more of a pop/rock song than anything it is enjoyable but there is nothing to get excited about. (3/5) 5. Starlight Ride- Heh, Pop song. (2/5) 6. Summer Lightning- the first half of the song is up temp singing and instrumental which flies by and then comes the guitar solo which is something to see! (4/5) 7. You Make me Smile - this is the only BAD song on the album, very dull to put it plainly (2.5/5) 8. The Sleeper- Great instrumental song with flute and saxes all the way through very nice and up beat. (5/5) 9. Rainbow's End- Here we see Andy Latimer sing very high and he can plainly see that he is not a Tenor singer. (3/5) Total/ 31:9

= 3.4 stars

Well four stars. The album is good but it is no Snow Goose.
