5 stars After excellent 'Stand up' it had been hard to expect a follower of the same quality. However, 'Benefit' continued in the direction which has been taken on its predecessor, now with longer songs, more harder in structure and with piano and organ enriched tune. From A side of the record there are two titles to be specially highlighted, opener 'With you there to help me' with its impressive psychedelic effects and superb Glenn Cornick's bass guitar playing, a song which is one of my all time Jethro favourites, and the follower 'Nothing to say' where you can here full Jethro sound and all the group members at their best. On the B side 'To cry you a song' catches you with tainted guitar riff, and closing 'Sossity your'e a woman' brings wonderful acoustic guitar playing complemented with powerful flute and organ. I've always been in dilemma which among three Jethro albums- 'Stand up' , 'Benefit' and Aqualung' - I would rate as the best one. After three decades the dilemma has been solved.Five stars to all of them.
