5 stars I love this album, I cannot truly express why, since quite a few of the songs sound the same, and some of the renditions are not quite as tight as the studio counterparts. But, with the mix of the poetic interludes by Michael Moorcock and the rockin' tracks by the band, I cannot get over it. The musician is really good, but not one musician really stands out. That's part of what I like; how one musican can be soloing yet Lemmy underneath is still just as interesting. For anyone who likes prog rock, but has a sweet tooth for hard rock music, then this album will satisfy your full pallette. If you combined Pink Floyd and Blue Öyster Cult, you would get as close to Hawkwind as I can describe by comparison. All fans of this website should at least check them out. There is a reason that most musically inclined people know the name Hawkwind. Other good studio albums include: Hall of the Mountain Grill, Doremi Fasol Latido, and In Search of Space. It is a hard album to find in retail stores, so order it online, or check out independent music stores. In general, I have never seen a Hawkwind album in a chain store, not even a greatest hits. Well, that about covers it, good night, and good luck.
